Communications

We are committed to fostering close links with our parents as partners in children's learning and have a culture of consultation and deep respect. We understand however, that with all the best will in the world, sometimes staying in touch is hard. Life is busy and time is precious especially with little ones in tow. That's why at Bobblewood, we are committed to making it that little bit easier for you to find out about your child's day, catch up with your child's Key Worker and discover ways you can join in either in person or from home. Check out some of the ways we communicate with parents to share information regarding children's progress and development...

Open Clinics

In order for parents to catch up with Key Workers, we hold Open Clinics everyday from 4pm to 6pm here at Bobblewood. These are informal occasions for parents to chat with Key Workers. They are run on a drop-in first come first serve basis.

ParentMail

In order to keep parents informed of all the latest goings on at Bobblewood, we sign all our parents up to ParentMail. This allows us to send out our newsletters, forms and feedback requests, inform our parents of any upcoming events or particular circumstances and generally keep in touch.

Stay and Play

Regular Stay and Play sessions are held here at Bobblewood which are a wonderful chance for parents to come on in and have some fun alongside their child in their natural nursery habitat! It's a great informal opportunity for parents to meet other parents as well as catch up with their child's Key Worker.

Tapestry

Children's progress and development is detailed in their Online Learning Journey via Tapestry. Key Workers regularly update children's journals with photos and details of learning as well as with observations and assessments. Parents can add their own comments and feedback and upload their own photos and observations.

Parents Evenings

Parents Evenings are held twice yearly and are an opportunity to share children's progress and development with parents and carers. Key Workers share Progress Summaries and raise any concerns as well as set and review targets. Parents can also catch up with our SENCO if required.

Family event days

We love an excuse for a party here at Bobblewood and luckily there's always plenty to celebrate; Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Preschool Graduation, Christmas, Harvest Festival to name but a few!  When it's party time, we throw open our doors and welcome children, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grannies and grandads in to see and enjoy the magic of Bobblewood for themselves. Access all areas means that the nursery can be viewed in its entirety. Our events are always hugely well attended and much enjoyed.
